About FBs and decos...

Friendship Books ( "FBs" in abbreviated form) are small  booklets anyone and you can make and pass around   by postal mail. Made by stapling small pages together ,  they are preferably no larger than  standard envelopes to fit inside them.  But Sometimes they are simple A4 sheets.

The person making a FB writes his name and address and his message with requests;  many just stick special labels mentionning all. Very easy.   The FB is then passed round from penpal to penpal. Every person who will receive the FB  can continue  with his message and so on till the FB is full.
Then, when the FB is complete, the last person who gets it, can send it back to the first person who started it or to the person it was made for. Therefore you will write on the back cover, bottom last page  “ Return to  x “ for instance. if the fb is made for someone else, write his/her name and address on the front page,  with the mention FB for "  x  ".

Most used abbreviations in FBs:

AA =  Answer All
AO = Answer Only
ATCs= Artist Trading Cards
BD = Birthday
C/O or C/on=  collect on
DOB  = Date of Birth
FAV = For Address Verification/Validity
LLP =  Long Letters Pals
N&N FBs = nice and neat FBs
NNP= No New Pals
NPR= No Prisoners
NPW= New Penpals Wanted
NNS=  No New Swappers
NSS = No single sheets
NSW= New Swappers Wanted
SNNP=Sorry No New Penpals
SWA= Swap with All
WBS or WS = Write Back Soon, write soon
WW= Worldwide

Decos FBs are FBs that are more artistic, more creative and really look nice and neat (N&N). They usually have themes.
Each person who receives a deco FB (DECO stands for "decorative")  gets a page to fill,decorate and embellish.. On his page, he can draw, tape or glue pictures from magazines, postcards, greeting cards or decorate it with colored paper, glitter, stickers, images, etc.
If it's a themed deco, then he'd  try to keep the page in the same theme. For instance, a "Black and White Deco" theme could include B&W photos you cut from a magazine. A "Sea Theme" deco could have pictures of surfers, the beach, fish, or the ocean, etc...
When full, the deco FB is sent back to its owner. If you are uncomfortable with decorating such a page or don't wish to contribute, simply pass it on. Decos Fbs are little pieces of art. Enjoy.

FANS BOOKS   (or FANS SHEETS) just go like FBs but are made by fans of stars and celebs. They are sent among fans and collectors.
